These watercolors probably should have been in the Archives Section, but I decided to show them here instead, for no particular reason. I did these little paintings on a camping trip across Canada in 1964 with my friend Pixie Parke, heading for Seattle. What a time we had! Camping in a $22 Sears pup tent. It got really cold and wet often. These paintings were relegated to the bottom of a flat file for years, and like other watercolors I didn’t like them, until unearthed for my retrospective in 2005. They don’t seem so terrible now!
